Trisha to be part of Rajinikanth’s next?

Superstar Rajinikanth and Karthik Subbaraj are currently shooting for their forthcoming outing, which went on the floors in Dehradun earlier this year. While the film is progressing at a rapid pace, an interesting news has surfaced online.

Now, reports are doing the rounds that Karthik Subbaraj has approached Trisha Krishnan to play one of the leading ladies in the film. Reports suggest that Trisha will be seen as Rajinikanth’s love interest in the yet-untitled film. If reports are to be believed, this will mark Trisha’s first film with Rajinikanth. However, we await an official confirmation from the makers.

It must be noted that the makers have roped in actress Simran to play the female lead. Apparently, Subbaraj has already shot some important scenes between Rajinikanth and Simran in Dehradun. Reports also say that the team will shoot some major portions in Chennai and Madurai.

Being made on a massive scale, the project is funded by Sun Pictures and has an ensemble cast that includes Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Sanath Reddy and Megha Akash. Slated to release next year, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander, who is working with Rajinikanth and Subbaraj for the first time.
