Late actors Sridevi and Shashi Kapoor to be honoured at New York Indian Film Festival 2018!

Bollywood legendary actors Shashi Kapoor and Sridevi who passes away recently featured will be remembered at the New York Indian Film Festival. The event will be held from May 7-12.

Shashi Kapoor, star of Merchant-Ivory films such as The Householder, will be honoured with the screenings of Shakespeare Wallah and Heat and Dust, reports variety.com.

The fest will also hold a Merchant-Ivory retrospective that also includes the screening of “Autobiography of a Princess”, starring Madhur Jaffrey. To honour Sridevi, her 2012 hit “English Vinglish”, which was mainly set in New York, will be screened.

Sridevi passes away due to the accidental drowning in Dubai on February 24, 2018. She was 54. The actress was in Dubai to attend her nephew’s Mohit Marwah’s wedding. The actress was one of the famous actress of Hindi Cinema. She ruled the hearts of millions. Her sudden death was a huge shock for her family and her industry colleagues.

While, Shashi Kapoor breathed his last at Kolkilaben Ambani Hospital on December 4, 2017. The 79-year-old actor passed away after a prolonged illness. Shashi Kapoor had been suffering from a kidney ailment and had been undergoing dialysis. Mr Kapoor had been in a wheelchair for years.
