Water supply to be affected in North Chennai on March 5
CHENNAI: Water supply to some neighbourhoods in North Chennai will be affected on Monday (March 5) as the desalination plant at Minjur will be shut down for a day for maintenance work.
The maintenance work will be carried out from 8am to 8pm on Monday.
The desalination plant supplies 100 million litre of water per day to industries and neighbourhoods in North Chennai.
Some of the areas that will be affected include Madhavaram, Manali, Thiruvottiyur, Ernavoor, Kathivakkam, Patel Nagar and Vyasarpadi.
Chennai Metrowater has requested the public to store sufficient water in advance. In case of urgent requirements, they can contact their area Metrowater engineers.
